TwoScots are excited to partner with a well-established IT organisation seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer (Billings) to support their finance team.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the end-to-end invoicing process, supporting global customers including those based in Australia. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with sales and delivery teams.

This is an initial 6 month role with the ideal candidate moving to a permanent position based on performance.

About the role:

  • Gather accurate and complete billing information from delivery teams.
  • Reconcile data and maintain documentation for timely and accurate invoice preparation.
  • Submit invoices to global customers, including Australia-based clients, within stipulated timelines.
  • Follow up and liaise with customers regarding open and unpaid invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales and Delivery) to ensure alignment in billing and invoicing processes.
  • Maintain records of billing communications and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Provide inputs and reports related to accounts receivable, and assist in their reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external customer requirements.
  • Continuously look for improvements in billing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Additional ad hoc duties as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of billing processes and in-depth accounting knowledge is a must.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Prior experience with global billing/invoicing processes preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
