Assistant Accountant

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

We are currently partnering with a leading supplier in the food industry. With a focus on sustainability and innovation, they aim to deliver premium products that meet the diverse needs of our customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Assist with the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with the processing of monthly journals, accruals and prepayments as required.
• Preparation of the monthly BAS requirements ready for checking and submitting by Financial Controller.
• Assist in the preparation and lodgement of annual FBT returns.
• In conjunction with Financial Controller, assist with the credit application process for all new customers and create details in MYOB.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Excellent excel skills.
• At least 2 years' experience in a Bookkeeping or Assistant Accountant role.
• Knowledge of month end processes: accruals, pre payments, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, bank reconciliations.
• Previous experience with MYOB would be preferred.
