About the Role
Due to a business restructure, a newly created role has been created within the Credit Team. We are seeking an AR/Credit Team Leader to oversee 5+ Credit Officers, Reporting to the Finance Manager. You will be an integral part of the business and ready to take on this evolving role.
Duties
- Managing, mentoring and developing a team of 5+ credit seniors and officers and fostering a high-performance culture within the team
- Oversee the end-to-end recoveries process for overdue and high-risk accounts.
- Manage relationships with external collection agencies and legal partners.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
- Work closely with finance, sales, and operations teams to align credit risk strategies with business objectives.
- Communicate key insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Engage with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years' experience in credit risk, recoveries, or collections, with at least 2 years in leadership.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk management principles, debt recovery strategies, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Trade Finance and PPSR
- Proven ability to lead a team and drive performance improvements.
- Experience working with multiple ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
