About the Role

Sitting within the Payroll and Operations team, reporting into the Head of Payroll, this role is critical in maintaining the integrity of payroll data, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and streamlining processes to improve efficiency. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Duties:

  • Maintain payroll system configuration to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Manage the upload of time & attendance data, bulk payments, and timesheet entries.
  • Serve as the payroll system SME, recommending enhancements, logging tickets, and reviewing system updates.
  • Oversee the Enterprise Agreement pay increase process, preparing data for approval and system uploads.
  • Assist in the preparation and loading of superannuation payments.
  • Evaluate and recommend best practices for payroll processes and methods.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of system and process improvements.
  • Support all system-related activities to ensure timely payroll delivery.
  • Ensure high data integrity and quality across all payroll systems.

Skills + Experience

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Systems Administrator or in a similar payroll-related role. Strong understanding of system configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (experience with SAP Success Factors & ADP is highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding and ability to interpret complex EBA's and awards with the ability to configure within relevant systems.
  • Familiarity with Australian payroll legislation and compliance standards (e.g., Fair Work Act, PAYG, superannuation, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with system integrations and process automation is an advantage
