About the role
Our client is undergoing a transformation of system as well as updating and implementing a new cloud-based system to improve their Time & Attendance and Rostering functionality. This role will provide payroll systems and data expertise to support the successful delivery and integration of these new technologies, ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processes for a diverse workforce under industry-specific agreements and regulations.
Duties:
- Lead payroll expertise in system implementation and upgrades, liaising with project teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to project planning, identifying risks and ensuring timely completion.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Rostering, Time & Attendance, HCM, and Payroll systems.
- Complete project tasks on time, escalating issues as necessary.
- Deliver data extracts, analysis, and cleansing for system migration.
- Guide payroll system integrations (e.g., employee records, leave, hours).
- Develop test scripts and participate in testing to ensure system integrity and compliance with awards.
- Validate system configuration and ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreements and relevant policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and identify opportunities for system enhancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and system roadmaps to optimise payroll operations.
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years experience in Chris21 system administration and payroll configuration.
- 5+ years experience with Time Target/Humanforce; Enterprise Agreement config knowledge preferred.
- Expertise in managing payroll and time & attendance solutions.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, integration, and functionality in payroll environments.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, testing, and resolving application issues.
- Knowledge of user access control and audit processes.
- Proficient in Excel/Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience interpreting complex Industry Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Strong communication skills, able to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
