In a nutshell: You'll know when you've hit on a subject I'm passionate about; my whole demeanor lights up and I can talk forever. TwoScots fits that category perfectly. Born from a desire to break the stigma of recruitment and offer a service which was a wee bit different, it's surpassed my expectations and I'm proud to have created a business that feels more like an extended family.

In a nutshell: As TwoScots first employee, I'm certainly part of the furniture. I spent 2020 on maternity leave with my first beautiful baby, Lenny, but now I'm back to work alongside you and crack the champagne on a Friday!

Kieran Spillane

In a nutshell: So it turns out Summer Bay doesn't actually exist, but that hasn't quite tainted my Australian experience having moved from Ireland in 2019. I've always loved all things sport, music and animals so Melbourne is a dream as is my leadership role where I can work across and influence multiple disciplines.

Ambitions: To own three dogs, beat James in table tennis and watch Essendon win the Grand Final. Oh, also to continue to grow and nurture my teams, I'm in for the long haul.

Leona Kane

In a nutshell: I'm driven by challenge and collaboration; it's why I love TwoScots. Coming from small town Northern Ireland, I love to take in every experience on offer so you'll find me riverside with a glass of fizz or in Sydney visiting friends.

Krystle Egginton

In a nutshell: Travel has both been my passion and my path into my career. From working as a Travel Consultant through to being asked to join the travel recruitment consultancy interviewing me through to 10+ years in recruitment, it's carved me a clear path as well as amazing memories across the world!

Janessa Smit

In a nutshell: Originally from Christchurch New Zealand, I studied primary school teaching, but life's unexpected twists led me to Sydney, where I found myself in recruitment. I started my recruitment journey focusing on retail and hospitality roles but when I moved to Melbourne, I moved into a role that specialised in business and accounting support recruitment. From there my career has included managing an accounting support team and building an internal recruitment function for Accent Group. Most recently, I navigated the challenges of COVID-19 managing accounting support at Thompson Cook before my new role as Senior Business Manager at TwoScots! 

Ambitions: With a passion for connecting with people and a drive to continually grow, I am excited to explore new recruitment challenges and contribute to diverse sectors. Balancing my professional life while being a new mum to my daughter Charlotte keeps me on my toes. I am a Sydney Swans supporter who enjoys watching the games on the weekend. My goal is to keep thriving both in my career and in my personal pursuits, all while staying actively involved with my community and family.

Emily Whitehead

In a nutshell: What's the best way to scare your parents? Call them from your holiday in Thailand to say you're not coming home. Well, that was me! Since moving from windy Lancashire to Melbourne, via four months in Asia, I've been working with innovative brands and striving to shake up the industries they exist in.

Ambitions: To make more waves for TwoScots whilst continuing to learn. I'd also love to write a best selling novel and be awarded the Booker Prize - no point in dreaming small!

In a nutshell: At TwoScots I'm known as the go-to guru. Whether you're after a decent soccer player, a technology whiz or even a T-Shirt designer - I can cover you! I'm a bit of a unicorn being both extremely process driven whilst possessing a strong creative flair. Outside work you'll find me on the futsal court or in the midst of nature...eating a whole pizza to myself.

Annabel Mitchell-Heggs

In a nutshell: I'm the epitome of a people person. I thrive in a social setting where I can share opportunities and enrich experiences, it's why I got into recruitment in the first place. I moved to Melbourne from London seeking beachside adventures and the challenge of agency recruitment after starting my career on the internal side.

Sophie Masson

In a nutshell: I believe experiences are the richest currency you can have. That's why I've worked in my hometown of County Down, in Disneyland Florida, at a camp in Pennsylvania, as well as recruiting in Darwin and Melbourne (plus a stint on a dairy farm!). It's also why I love finding the perfect opportunity and experience to my candidates within my four year recruitment career. I can't wait to share my life experiences in Australia with family and friends in Ireland one day very soon.

In a nutshell… After 15 years of experience in healthcare recruitment, I sought a change. I began at TwoScots in Business Support before transitioning to Payroll and I’m enjoying every second of it! TwoScots have provided me an amazing opportunity to work remotely while continuing to travel Australia. I'm frequently on the move, exploring new destinations and enjoying beautiful views from my mobile office.

Ambitions; I’m excited to contribute to the growth of the TwoScots Payroll division, assist new clients and candidates and build ongoing relationships and I'm looking forward to upcoming trips in the North Territory and Western Australia!

Aisling Flynn

In a nutshell: My career so far has been a journey. From working as a HR specialist back home in Ireland through to recruiting for some of Australia's biggest household names and don't even mention my stint as a banana sorter! Passion for travel and adventure is what took me up to the bananas in Far North Queensland. Where else? It guided me through Europe by rail, dipped me in Iceland's Blue Lagoons before my final destination of Melbourne and now TwoScots.

In a nutshell: Coming over from Cork, my biggest ambition was to travel every landscape in Australia and I'm pretty much there (excluding a much needed trip to Tasmania)! From diving with whalesharks through to Turquoise Bay, even a year in Sydney before finding my home and recruitment career in Melbourne. Now I'm settled here with my boyfriend and kitten I've even started exploring my creative side by DJ-ing.

In a nutshell: Arriving in Australia on Christmas Day in 2019, tired but full of adrenaline, I had no idea what was to come! I did know that I had a ready built community of friends who made it feel like home pretty quickly and managed to step into a career I'd been interested in since finishing my HR Management degree. Again, joining TwoScots felt like the right decision after friends in the business told me about the culture, progression and opportunities on offer.

In a nutshell: Melbourne wasn't my first stop over from my hometown of Galway; with a year-long stint in Greece chasing the weather through to securing more time in Australia via six months in Shepparton, it's been a journey getting here! Now I'm here I'm so happy to be part of TwoScots, a business that makes me feel like that first day in Melbourne, excited for the experience and ready for the challenges ahead.

In a nutshell: Life is full of surprises, and when I was given the opportunity to move from London to Geelong in 2022 (accompanied by my furry companion, Pippa, the Sproodle), I leapt into the unknown! I have worked in Marketing and Social Media for a wide range of companies since graduating with a degree in Advertising in 2018. If there's anything that travelled with me, it's my passion for creativity and helping companies try new strategies and succeed together. Wellness also has always been a huge part of my life, and I recently had an awakening about the benefits of good employee culture, which initially attracted me to work with Two Scots.

In a nutshell: From losing my passion for teaching in Dubai to finding my niche in recruitment upon returning to the UK, life has been a series of unexpected turns. Communication and relationships are personal strengths of mine, making recruitment the perfect industry for me. The allure of Australia, coupled with all the family I have living here in Melbourne, drew me down under, where TwoScots stood out as a beacon of opportunity.

In a nutshell: I'm a born and bred Melbournian with over three years of recruitment expertise! Originally, I spent seven years in sports advertising, but craving a career change and being great with people, I transitioned into recruitment and absolutely loved it. Before joining TwoScots, I started my career with a UK-based public services organisation specialising in government contracts, where I made a significant impact through project management and recruitment, helping individuals overcome employment barriers. After a year, I joined a prominent recruitment agency as a Recruitment Specialist, quickly advancing to Senior Recruitment Specialist and focusing on the Accounting and Finance sectors for the next two years. In a nutshell... I’m originally from Ireland and have been calling Melbourne home for the past five years. My journey here began in an insurance call centre, and then into a healthcare recruitment role in 2021. With over three years of experience in recruitment, I’m now excited to join the TwoScots Payroll team and explore this new market.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me exploring Melbourne or spending time outdoors. I’m a big fan of staying active—whether it’s running, hiking, or Pilates. I love catching up with friends on the weekend and have recently developed a keen interest in camping. Travel is another passion of mine; I’ve explored much of Australia and look forward to more adventures in the future.

In a nutshell… I’ve recently landed in Melbourne after an incredible journey through Asia and Europe. Originally from Auckland, I’ve always loved the vibrant energy of Melbourne, which is why I decided to settle here after a few visits that left me wanting more!

Danayi Mazarire

In a nutshell: Originally from Ireland, my love for Australia started in 2019, when I spent some time doing farm work in Tasmania before moving to Melbourne and eventually settling in Brisbane before returning home due to COVID-19. I’ve always wanted to come back so this year I decided to pack my bags and book a one-way flight to Melbourne.

Before TwoScots, I kicked off my career in recruitment at REED in Belfast, where I helped individuals facing employment challenges, assisting with CV writing and guiding them to courses that would better their prospects. It was incredibly fulfilling to play a role in helping others overcome hurdles and find career stability.

My next opportunity came when Morgan Stanley reached out to me to help source talent for their team. I spent a year in a recruitment role before transitioning into a Talent Insights position, where I worked closely with Managing Directors and Directors on high-impact, data-driven projects.

Ambitions: I'm excited to continue growing in the recruitment industry, particularly within finance. I also enjoy yoga, writing poetry, travelling, trying new food spots, and meeting interesting people wherever I go.
